Pursuant to our order dated 4th April, 2024, the petitioner appeared before the concerned officer of the Goregaon Police Station, Mumbai. Pursuant thereto, the officer recorded the statement of the petitioner as well as supplementary statement of some witnesses.

2/2 16 wp 405 of 2024.doc Learned APP, on instructions, states that after perusing the statements, the officer has come to the conclusion that a cognizable offence is disclosed, and, hence, have decided to register an FIR. Statement accepted. She states that since the petitioner is not available, the said FIR could not be registered. Learned counsel for the petitioner assures that the petitioner will be present before the concerned Police Station, so that the FIR can be lodged formally.

In view of the statement made by the learned APP, nothing survives for further consideration in the petition. The Writ Petition stands disposed of.
