The applicant has been arrested in Crime No.297 of 2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 395 of the IPC registered with Talegav-Dabhade Police Station. The applicant-accused has been lodged in Yerwada Central Prison, Pune. He has written a letter dated 12th September, 2020 for granting him temporary bail in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

The situation has now changed. Covid-19 virus does not exist. In the circumstances, there would not arise any reason for releasing the applicant on temporary bail as the ground put forth does not survive. Application is, accordingly, dismissed with the liberty to the applicant to take appropriate steps for his release on bail, if so desired. (ANIL L. PANSARE J.)
