Heard respective counsel. Though effort of learned counsel for petitioner is to request this Court to entertain the petition, as learned APP has pointed out that an appeal filed with the appellant authority Additional Director General, Prisons, Pune is pending, we are not inclined to consider the request on merits.

In identical matter (Criminal Writ Petition No.1293 of 2019) today we have already asked the appellate authority to decide that appeal within three weeks. On the same line, we direct the appellate authority Additional Director General, Prisons, Pune to decide the appeal of present petitioner at the earliest and in any case within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order to it.
