Heard the learned counsel for the Applicant and the learned APP for the State.

Criminal application No. 122 of 2015 is filed for bail and criminal application no. 123 of 2015 is filed for suspension of sentence. The applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. In the revision application filed by the Borey 1/2

spb/ 10appr122&123-15.sxw applicant, a notice has been issued to respondent no.2, original complainant. It appears that the matter is likely to be settled by compounding the offence. Under the circumstances, I am inclined to grant both these applications.

Hence, I pass the following order.

i. The applicant be released on bail in the sum of Rs. 5,000/- (Rs. Five thousand) with one solvent surety in the like amount.

ii. Substantive sentence imposed on the applicant shall remain suspended until further orders of this court.

Both the criminal applications shall stand disposed of in the above terms.
