The petitioners are aggrieved by the non-consideration of the appeal preferred by them before the Director of Education, Pune challenging the order dated 20th June 2023 passed by the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Satara. By that order, a penalty for an amount of Rs.3,96,000/- has been imposed against the petitioners under Section 16(1)(c) of the Maharashtra Educational Institutions (Regulation of Fee) Act, 2011. The petitioners have approached the Director of Education on 12th October 2023 by way of an appeal. The petitioners seek expeditious consideration of the said appeal.

Considering the aforesaid, it is directed that respondent no.2Director of Education (Secondary & Higher Secondary), Maharashtra State, Pune shall consider the appeal in accordance with law and decide the same within a period of eight weeks of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners shall serve copy of this order on the office of respondent no.2. The appeal be decided after hearing all concerned parties and the decision taken be communicated to the petitioners. All points on merits are kept open.

Writ Petition is disposed of.
