Mr. Damle, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner does not dispute that notice of attachment for non-payment of tax bills are appealable under Section 124(5) of the Maharashtra Grampanchayat Act. Since the petitioner has an alternative and efficacious remedy, we are not inclined to entertain this petition. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the impugned bills by filing an appeal.
