On the backdrop of our earlier orders, today Dr. Birendra Saraf, the learned Advocate General has placed on record Government Resolution dated 15 April, 2024, whereunder the State Government, considering the petitioner's case to be a special case and in the light of the observations made by this Court in its earlier orders, has decided to grant financial benefit to the petitioners as set out in paragraph 1 of the said Government Resolution, which is an amount of Rs.60 lakhs being given to Smt. Aakriti Singh Sood-petitioner no. 1, who is widow of Martyr Maj. Anuj Sood and an amount of Rs. 40 lakhs to Mr. Chandrakant Sood, who is his father, totalling to an amount of Rupees 17 April, 2024

910.WP3661_2024.DOC One Crore. Also a grant of Rs.9,000/- per month is being awarded to Smt. Aakriti Singh Sood under the Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar Yojana. 2.

We highly appreciate the stand as taken by Hon'ble Chief Minister as also the State Government in considering the petitioners' case for grant of such benefits considering the sacrifice of his life by Marytr Mah. Anuj Sood for the cause of the nation.

We also appreciate the fair stand as taken by learned Advocate General and for his invaluable intervention in the present proceedings. 4.

In the above circumstances, further adjudication of the petition is not called for. It is accordingly disposed of accepting the stand of the State Government in the Government Resolution dated 15 April, 2024. 5.

The amounts be disbursed to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible. 6.
