1] After taking into consideration the nature of offence and the allegation against the applicant, this Court is of the opinion that the applicant cannot be released on bail. However, the trial of the applicant can be expedited. It is submitted that, the maximum punishment is three years for the offence alleged against the applicant. The applicant is in jail since 6th August 2018. 2] In view thereof, the learned Special Judge under POCSO Act, Greater Mumbai seized of POCSO Case No.549 of 2018 is hereby directed to conclude the trial of the said case within a period of six months from today without seeking further extension in that behalf.
