Petitioner claims that his caste validity claim is pending before the Caste Scrutiny Committee, Nandurbar since 2.6.2015 as would be clear from the communication received from the said committee dated 19.1.2017. A prayer has been made to dispose of this petition by directing the said Committee to decide the petitioner's caste validity claim as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the aforesaid, without commenting upon the merits of the matter and the petitioner's entitlement, this petition is disposed of by directing respondent no.2 to decide the petitioner's claim, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Till the petitioner's claim is decided, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner by respondent no. 4 in pursuance of the communication Exh. E.
