Heard learned counsel for the parties.

By this application, the applicant seeks his enlargement on bail in connection with N.D.P.S. Special Case No.116 of 2017 (C.R.No.20 of 2017) registered with the Azad Maidan Unit, Mumbai, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 21(c), 22(c) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and under Section 14(a)(b) of the Foreigners Act.

It is informed that the trial of the applicant has commenced and almost 4 witnesses have been examined, till date. Learned Counsel for the Applicant does not dispute the same.

Learned APP states on instructions, that the prosecution intends to examine about 4 to 5 more witnesses. Statement accepted. 5.

Since the trial has already commenced, it is not necessary to consider this application for bail. The learned Judge to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible and preferably within 6 months from the date of receipt of this order.

The Application is accordingly disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
