The petitioner claims that respondent No.3 has forwarded his caste certificate for scrutiny before Caste Scrutiny Committee but the Caste Scrutiny Committee has not decided the petitioner's caste validity claim as yet. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the claim is pending before respondent No.2 - Committee since 12/05/2014. It is also the case of the petitioner that for want of producing the caste validity certificate, 3rd respondent - Municipal Corporation of 1/3
Greater Mumbai has issued a notice - Exhibit 'H' on 01/02/2018 to the petitioner to show cause as to why services of the petitioner shall not be terminated of which according to the petitioner he has filed reply Exhibit 'I' which is annexed at page 20 to the Petition.

Having considered the submissions made by learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned AGP we dispose of this Petition by directing 2nd respondent - Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the petitioner's caste validity claim as expeditiously as possible but in any case not later than 31/12/2018. The petitioner to appear before 2nd respondent - Caste Scrutiny Committee - on 23/04/2018.

Till the petitioner's caste validity claim is decided by 2nd respondent, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner in pursuance to the show cause notice dated 01/02/2018 - Exhibit 'H'.

With the aforesaid directions, Writ Petition is disposed of.
