Apart from seeking pre-arrest bail in Crime No.70 of 2021 registered with Manchar Police Station, Pune (Rural) for the offence punishable under Sections 384 and 385 IPC, it seems that the complainant and her husband (restaurant entrepreneur) were threatened and amount was extorted.

Apart from the unexplained delay of more than one year in lodging the FIR, it is not disputed that the laptop of the accused is already seized. As such, no case for custodial interrogation is made out. Ad-interim protection stands confirmed.

In the event of arrest of the applicant in Crime No.70 of 2021 registered with Manchar Police Station, Pune (Rural) for the offence punishable under Sections 384 and 385 IPC, he be released on bail on executing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/ with one or two sureties in the like amount. Applicant shall attend the Investigating Officer as and when directed by the Investigating Officer. The said applicant shall not directly or indirectly try to influence the prosecution witnesses and tamper with the evidence.
