This is an application received through Jail for reduction of the bail amount or to release the applicant on cash bail.

Heard the learned APP.

The record indicates that by an order dated 16.9.2016 this Court has directed the applicant to be released on bail on his furnishing PR bond of Rs.15,000/- with one or two solvent local sureties in the like amount. The applicant in his application has stated that he hails from the poor strata society and therefore unable to furnish

2 /2 50-appp-268-17 the local sureties in the like amount. Though the applicant was directed to be released on bail on 16.9.2016 the applicant is still languishing in Jail.

In view thereof, the applicant is permitted to be released on cash bail of Rs.15,000/- for a period of six months during which period he shall comply with the condition Nos. (i) and (ii) of the said order. 5.

Application is allowed in the aforesaid terms. 6.

Registry is directed to communicate this order immediately to the applicant who is at present lodged in Thane Central Prison.
