The grievance of the Petitioner is that his name is not appeared in the voters' list. He is seeking direction, directing the Respondent to consider his application for including his name in the voters' list. 2.

The learned counsel for Respondent No.2 submits that the election programme has already been commenced and voters' list has also been finalized in 2014 during the period of Assembly Election.

In view of this, it will not be possible for this Court to give any direction to the Respondents since the election programme has already been declared and secondly, the voters' list has also been finalized in 2014. Hence, writ petition is dismissed. The Petitioner is at liberty to apply by filing a fresh application for including his name in the voters' list. If any application is filed, Respondent No.2 shall decide the application after going through the documents submitted by the Petitioner in consultation with the Chief Electoral Officer and following the due procedure laid down under the Election Rules.
