IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION WRIT PETITION NO. 3961 OF 2016 Sanjay Jagannath Medhe and Others.

..Petitioners.

Versus

State of Maharashtra & Others.

..Respondents.

Mr. Sachin Gite for the Petitioner.

Mr. V. M. Mali, learned AGP for the State.

Coram : Ranjit More & Dr. Shalini Phansalkar-Joshi, JJ.

Date : April 6, 2016.

P. C. :

1.

By this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioner is challenging the voters' list prepared for the ensuing election of village Amboli, Taluka Trembakeshwar, District - Nasik.

2.

Admittedly, the election programme was published on 18th March 2016 and the date of filing of nomination is also over. Voting is scheduled to take place on 14th April 2016. In these circumstances, and especially when the Petitioner has an alternate remedy of election petition we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Writ petition is, therefore, dismissed.
