Learned counsel for the Applicants states that the contempt appeal is not maintainable under Section 19 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. Hence, he seeks permission to withdraw the application and appeal with liberty to take out appropriate proceedings in accordance with law. 2.

Accordingly, Civil Application No.1 of 2016 and Contempt Appeal (L) No.8939 of 2016 are disposed of. Remedy of the Applicant is kept open.
