The grievance of the petitioner is that police has not taken cognizance of the complaint addressed to the Inspector Incharge, Pant Nagar Police Station on 11th March, 2016. Learned APP submits that petitioner was called by the Investigating Officer but he did not turn up stating that he has approached the High Court. Learned Counsel appearing for petitioner submits that petitioner would appear before the Investigating officer in a couple of days for getting his statement recorded and for providing necessary information to police.

In case the petitioner appears before the Investigating Officer within a week's time, we direct the Investigating Officer to take a decision after recording statement of the petitioner on its own merits and communicate the decision to the petitioner. In case the decision of the Investigating Officer is adverse to petitioner then petitioner is at liberty to resort to appropriate remedy as prescribed in Cr. P.C.
