Alleging inaction on the part of Respondent No.2 - Municipal Commissioner, Thane in regard to the Petitioner's representation/ appeal/ review dated 13th May, 2014 - Exhibit 'P' against the order of punishment imposed upon him, the Petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. 2.

The learned counsel for Respondent No.2 submits that the said representation / review will be treated by the competent authority as an appeal and will be decided the same on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, we are inclined to dispose of this petition by directing Respondent No.2 / the Competent Authority to decide the Petitioner's representation / review - Exhibit 'P' herein as an appeal, in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and, in any case, within a period of three months from receipt of this order. With the aforesaid direction, writ petition is disposed of.
