Learned APP Mr. J. P. Yagnik, on instructions, states that the Appeal filed by the Petitioner under Section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act against the order of externment would be decided by the Appellate Authority within the time that would be stipulated by this Court. He further states that the next date of hearing for the said Appeal is 10/04/2018.

In view of the fact that the application for interim relief has been rejected by the Appellate Authority, we deem it appropriate to direct the Appellate Authority to decide the Appeal latest by 31/03/2018. The Petitioner to appear before the Appellate Authority on Monday the 26/03/2018. The protection which was in operation till today i.e. 23/03/2018, would continue to operate till 03/04/2018. With the directions as aforesaid, the Writ Petition is disposed of. 3.

Learned APP to inform the office of the Additional Commissioner forthwith.
