The Applicant, apprehending arrest, in connection with investigation of Crime No.28/2022 of Police Station Kamothe, Navi Mumbai, under Section 504 and 506 of IPC and Section 39 and 41 of the Maharashtra Money Lending (Regulation) Act, 2014, is seeking anticipatory bail.

Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The allegation is that the Applicant was carrying on illegal money lending business without license. It transpires that in Mamta Kale page 1 of 2

909-aba-869-2022.odt pursuance of a notice under Section 41-A of Cr.P.C., the Applicant had produced a license dated 22 July 2021 by which the Applicant is authorised to carry on business of money lending as per the Maharashtra Money Lending (Regulation) Act, 2014 and the Rules framed thereunder.

Learned APP in such circumstances submitted that the Applicant may be directed to join the investigation. 5.

In that view of the matter, the following order is passed.

ORDER

(i) In the event of his arrest, in connection with investigation of Crime No.28/2022 of Police Station Kamothe, Navi Mumbai, the Applicant Virat @ Vishwanath Tukaram Dhage, be released on bail on executing a P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.20,000/- with one or two solvent sureties, in the like amount.

(ii) The Applicant shall report to the Investigating Officer as and when required and shall cooperate with the Investigating Agency. (iii) The Criminal Application is disposed of, in the aforesaid terms.
