PER COURT :

The only prayer sought in this petition is that joint bail application preferred by the petitioner and the co-accused is pending before the MCOC Special Court, Thane from 1st September, 2017.

Learned counsel for the petitioner relied upon several orders passed by this Court in Criminal Writ Petition No. 20 of 2022, Criminal Writ Petition No. 88 of 2022 and Criminal Writ Petition No.1952 of 2022, wherein this Court had given directions to the Special Court for deciding the application which were pending for a long time.

Hearing of the bail application preferred by the co-accused was expedited by this Court vide order dated 27th June, 2022 passed in Criminal Writ Petition No.1952 of 2022. Learned counsel Sunny Thote

Considering the fact that the application for bail relates to the liberty of the accused and it is pending since last five and half years, the learned Special Court before whom the said application is pending is requested to hear and decide the said application within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

Petition stands disposed of.
