These writ petitions are placed for hearing pursuant to the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court by order dated 16.09.2020 passed in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 699 of 2016 (Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay & Ors Vs. Union of India & Ors).

When the petition was listed on 06.10.2020, none appeared for the Petitioners. To enable the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners to cause the appearance and argue the petition, the petition was posted for hearing on 27.10.2020 i.e. today. Even today, when the matter is called out, none appears for the Petitioners. Therefore, Criminal Writ Petition No. 1303 of 2014 stands dismissed for want of prosecution. 3.
So far, Criminal Application No. 528 of 2015 is concerned, Mr. H.S. Venegaonkar appearing for applicant is present, however, learned counsel appearing for respondents is not present. To give opportunity to the learned counsel appearing for the respondents to cause appearance and argue the application, stand over to 02.12.2020.
