DATED :- MARCH 30, 2016 P.C. :- The petitioner's claim is pending before the Caste Scrutiny Committee from June, 2015. It has not been verified and scrutinised till date. Therefore, we direct the committee to scrutinise and verify it as expeditiously as possible and before 20th June, 2016.

2) The petitioner is scheduled to appear for the first year of the BDS degree course examination. The examination commences from 21st June, 2016. The last date for acceptance of the examination form is 4th April, 2016.

912-WP.3701.2016.doc 3) If this is indeed the factual position, then, let the petitioner fill in the form and the same shall be accepted by respondent no. 3 college if it complies with all other rules and regulations or conditions therein. The college and the university thereafter to consider as to whether the petitioner can appear for the examination. All that we are permitting the petitioner is to fill in an examination form and before the last date. However, all this would be subject to the claim being verified and scrutinised by the committee. In the event of an adverse order, the petitioner cannot claim any benefit nor equities pursuant to our direction issued today. Our order and direction does not mean that the committee must validate the caste certificate issued to the petitioner. All contentions in that regard are kept open. 4) With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
