1] By this writ of Habeas Corpus, the Petitioner is praying for directing the Respondent to produce her son Yusuf Akhtar Shaikh who went missing from 11th May, 2016 from his house. 2] The Petition is pending since 2017. Several orders are passed by this Court. The respondent has placed on record report showing progress of investigation in order to trace out the missing person. The report is taken on record and marked as 'X' for identification. Lastly, the learned APP has placed on record report dated 18th June, 2019 which is reflecting exhaustive steps taken by police for tracing out the missing person by visiting several States including Andhra Pradesh, 1/2

(11)WP-1348-17.doc Telengana, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa and Gujarat. We appreciate the steps taken by the police department in trying to trace out the missing person.

3] Considering the fact that the police department is taking all necessary steps to trace out the missing person Yusuf Shaikh, we do not find it proper to keep the Writ Petition pending. We request the Police Commissioner, Thane to continue to search the missing person by taking all necessary steps. With this observations, Writ Petition NO.1348 of 2017 stands disposed off.
