Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner. The Petitioner is the resident of West Bengal. It is the contention of the Petitioner that as many as 39 FIRs have been filed against him in various Police Stations throughout the State of Maharashtra. He has annexed at Exhibit-A to the petition, a detailed list of those FIRs. It is the case of the Petitioner that he is 80 years old and is unable to collect copies of the said FIRs from various police stations spread all over Maharashtra. 2.

It is the contention of the Petitioner that he has been wrongly implicated in those FIRs. According to the Petitioner, it is the case of mistaken identity. 1 / 3

In the light of above, innocuous relief is sought by the Petitioner of a direction to the Respondent-Police Authorities to furnish him copies of the said 39 FIRs. 4.

Mr. Saste, learned APP is unable to make any statement for want of instructions.

In the light of above coupled with the fact that it is the right of the accused - Petitioner to get copy of the FIR, we dispose of this petition by passing following order : -: O R D E R :- [1] The Director General of Police, Maharashtra State - Respondent No.2 herein is directed to take steps to collect copies of 39 FIRs registered against the Petitioner as are mentioned in Exhibit-A in various Police Stations throughout the State of Maharashtra. This exercise shall be completed within the period of three weeks from today.

[2] Once copies of all the FIRs are ready, Respondent No.2 shall ensure that an intimation about the same be given to the learned counsel for 2 / 3

the Petitioner.

[3] Thereafter, learned counsel for the Petitioner is at liberty to collect the copies from the office of Respondent No. 2 or wherever directed at his own cost.
