Accused - Petitioner and Complainant - Respondent No. 2 jointly seek quashing of FIR No. 296 of 2014. FIR is under Sections 376 & 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

Respondent No. 2 present in Court has filed Affidavit stating that she has married with Petitioner on 13.10.2014. The Petitioner has also pointed out marriage in his Petition.

FIR was lodged alleging breach of promise to marry. 4.
In this situation, accepting joint request, we make rule absolute in terms of prayer clause (a). Consequential Criminal case is also quashed and set aside.
