The petitioners' grievance is that the complaint filed by petitioner no.1 was not attended to. In case no steps have been taken on the said complaint, we direct that petitioner no.1 is entitled to appear before the concerned Officer, attached to Bangur Nagar Police Station, Mumbai. The concerned officer shall record the statement of petitioner no.1 and take appropriate decision on its own merits. In case the petitioners are aggrieved by the decision taken, they may resort to appropriate alternate remedy as prescribed under Cr. P. C.

It is clarified that we have not expressed any opinion on the allegations made by the petitioners.

The petitioners further pray that they want protection from police as they apprehend threat to their life. 4.
The petitioners may submit a representation in this regard to the Committee dealing with said issue. In case such a representation is filed, concerned Committee shall take appropriate decision on its own merits.

The petitioners may pursue independent remedy in respect of other prayers.
6.
Petition is disposed of accordingly.
