Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP for the respondent No.1-State.

The petition is filed seeking transfer of the investigation in relation to C.R. No.18 of 2019 to another competent investigating agency/ authority.

The subject FIR was registered at the instance of the petitioner for the offences punishable under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code. Shri Yende, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's sister, as a matter of fact, has not committed suicide but she was murdered by one Jeetesh Sharma.

We find that the FIR is lodged on the basis of the statement voluntarily given by the petitioner wherein she has alleged that her sister has committed suicide. The investigation is being carried out by API Patil of Waliv Police Station. We are of the view that the interest of justice would be served if the investigation is supervised by the Deputy Superintendent of Police of Vasai.
