This is an application received from the Jail for expeditious disposal of the case on day to day basis by transferring the case of Fast Track Court presided over by Shri A. S. Bhaysare. 2.

Heard Ms. Vibhuti Desai who has been appointed Amicus Curie for the applicant and the learned APP for the State. The record reveals that the applicant is facing trial in MCOC Special Case No. 1/2013 for the offence punishable under Sections 307, 120(b), 143, 147, 148, 149, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3, 25(1-b)(a) of the Arms Act and Sections 37(1), 135 of the Bombay Police Act 1/2

(3) Appln 188-15 and Sections 3(1)(II), 3(2), 3(4) of the MCOCA. 3.

The applicant herein was arrested on 19.10.2012. The learned APP submitted that the charge is not yet framed. The APP further submits that the prosecution intends to examine about 65 witnesses. Considering the fact that the applicant herein is in custody since 19.10.2012, the learned Judge is directed to dispose of this case expeditiously in any event within a period of 18 months from the receipt of the order.
