This is a bail application through jail. The earlier bail application No. 1499 of 2016 preferred by the applicant was rejected by this Court on merits by order dated 8th March, 2017. The accused is charged for an offences punishable under Sections 376, 452 and 342 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned APP on instructions submitted that the trial has commenced and the first witness is already examined and the next date before the trial Court is on 29th August, 2018. In view of the above, application is rejected.

Considering the fact that applicant is in custody since 2015, the trial Court would endevour to proceed with the trial expeditiously.
