Mr. Aradhye, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, stated that the petitioner is not pressing for the reliefs claimed in prayer clauses (B) and (C). The statement is accepted. He, however, submitted that respondent No.3-Committe be directed to decide the petitioner's claim as expeditiously as possible. Mr. Kalel, learned AGP, has no objection if the petition is disposed of with directions as claimed by the petitioner.

In the circumstances, we dispose of the petition by directing respondent No.3-Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and, in any case, within three months from the date of receipt of this order. Shubhada S Kadam 1/2

It is made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter and all right and contentions of the respective parties are kept expressly open and respondent No.3- Committee shall decide the petitioner's caste claim independently on its own merits and in accordance with law.

In order to enable respondent No.3-Committee to comply with this order, the petitioner shall remain present before it along with a copy of this order as well as her claim on 9th April, 2018 at 11.00 a.m.. 5.

In the event, the petitioner succeeds in getting requisite caste certificate and has merit, her case may be considered for the next academic year.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
