V/s University Grants Commission and Anr.

...... Respondents.

Mr. R.G. Panchal for the Petitioner.

Mr. Rui Rodrigues alongwith Mr. Pranil Sonawane for Respondent No.2.

CORAM: V. M. KANADE & MRS MRIDULA BHATKAR, JJ.

DATE:

15th July, 2015 (In Chamber at 2.35 P.M.) P.C.:- Grievance of the Petitioner is that the Division Bench in its order dated 11/03/2015 has made some remarks against the Petitioner which are not warranted. It is further stated that the observations/strictures made in the said order against the Petitioner are on irrelevant and extraneous aspects. In our view, the said ground which has been raised in the Review Petition itself is contemptuous and amounts to making scandalous allegations against the Division Bench of this Court since the Division Bench has made these

2/2 RPW/58/2015 observations after taking into consideration the conduct of the Petitioner in filing the successive writ petitions. We are therefore not inclined to review the said order. It is always open to the Petitioner to challenge the said order by filing SLP. Review Petition is not the remedy which can be availed by the Petitioner. It is well settled that review can only be filed on any of the grounds mentioned in Order 47 Rule 1 of the Civil Procedure Code. No case is therefore made out for reviewing the said order dated 11/03/2015. Review Petition is dismissed.
