A proposal has already been submitted by the Education Officer (Secondary), Raigad Zilla Parishad, Alibag to the Director of Education seeking guidance in respect of converting the posts occupied by the employees in 11 schools from non-aided to aided posts so as to facilitate the school to receive salary grants in phased manner. 2.

The proposal tendered on 19.11.2008 is stated to be pending and no decision has been arrived at. It is further pointed out that the proposal for conversion of the posts from non-aided to aided posts has to be dealt with by the High Power Committee constituted by the State Government.

In the circumstances, ends of justice would meet by directing respondent No.1 State to place the proposal tendered by the Education Officer (Secondary) to the Director of Education on 19.11.2008 for consideration before the High Power Committee constituted for the aforesaid purpose. Respondent No.1 shall ensure decision on the proposal by the High Power Committee as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from today and it is accordingly directed.
