1.
Heard learned Counsel for the parties.
2.
For the relief that is sought and the order that is proposed to be passed, we do not deem it necessary to issue notice to the concerned Co-operative Society. 3.
The Petitioners have stated that they have availed 2/3
3/3 a loan from the concerned Co-operative Society. According to them, the loan was for agricultural purpose. They seek benefit of Section 44A of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 and they have made certain representations in respect of the same. The main grievance is that their representations are not being decided. 4.
We proceed on the basis, as informed by the Petitioners, that representations are pending and not yet decided. Without going into the question whether the petitioners are entitled to the benefit of Section 44A or not, which will have to be decided by the concerned respondents and the society, we dispose of the petition directing that the representation of the petitioners be decided within a period of eight weeks subject to earlier time bound commitments and pressing public duties of the concerned respondents. 5.
We once again make it clear that as to what decision is to be taken on the representations is left to the Society/Respondent concerned, who will take a decision as per law. The Writ Petitions are disposed of. NEETA SHAILESH SAWANT SANDEEP V. MARNE, J.
