The Learned Counsel for the parties i.e. Mrs. A.A. Agarwal for the appellant and the Learned Counsel Mr. Kamaljit Singh Sandhu (appointed through Legal Aid) tender consent terms bearing today's date i.e. 22nd December, 2017 evidencing the settlement arrived at

* 2/4 * between the parties. The consent terms have been signed by the Advocate on record for the appellant, Mr. Ajay H. Saravade and by Mr. Kamaljit Singh Sandhu, in his capacity as Advocate, appointed through legal aid. The consent terms have also been signed by the appellanthusband Sandeep Uttam Pandit and the respondent-wife Snehmala Sandeep Pandit. By the said consent terms, the parties have agreed to obtain decree of divorce and thereby dissolving their marriage solemnized on 12th February, 2013 by conversion of the above Appeal into a Petition under Section 13(B) of the Hindu Marriage Act. The consent terms, thereafter provide for payment of Rs.5,00,000/- by way of a bank-draft to be handed over by 21st January, 2018. It is further provided that, in the event, the bank draft is dishonoured, then the appellant would be liable for contempt action. The consent terms provide for the return of the articles and things of the respondent, wife including her jewellery which has to be handed over to the respondent, wife. The parties i.e. the

* 3/4 * appellant and the respondent are personally present in the Court. The appellant is identified by the Advocate on record, Mr. Ajay S. Saravade. He is also identified by his Aadhar Card bearing no. 8200 9477 0248. When put in the box and queried, he states that, he has read the contents of the consent terms, that he has understood the same and the same have also been explained to him by the advocate on record, Mr. Ajay S. Saravade and that they are acceptable to him and that he has signed them of his own free will and volition. The respondent, wife Snehmala is personally present in Court. She is identified by Advocate Mr. Kamaljit Singh Sandhu. She is also accompanied by her parents who are also present in the Court. On being put in the box, she states that the contents of the consent terms have been read by her and she has understood the same and that the learned Advocate, Mr. Kamaljit Singh Sandhu has also explained to her the contents of the consent terms. She has also confided in her parents as regards the contents of the

* 4/4 * consent terms and that the consent terms are also acceptable to her parents. She further states that, she has signed the consent terms out of her own free will and volition. The consent terms are paginated from 1 to 4 and have also been signed on each page by the appellant and the respondent. The consent terms are taken on record and marked 'X' for identification. The Family Court Appeal is accordingly disposed of in terms of the consent terms.
