Learned Counsel for the applicant does not press this application, inasmuch as, the trial has commenced and four witnesses have been examined till date. However, learned Counsel for the applicant requests that the trial of the applicant be expedited, considering the fact, that the applicant is in custody since 2016, for an offence punishable under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code.
