These applications are filed for suspension of sentence and for bail. The Applicants were tried for the offence punishable under Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 ('the said Act') and Section 504 of IPC. The Applicant No.1 Rahul Singh (accused No.1) was alone convicted for the offence punishable under Section 8 of the said Act and has been sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for three years and fine. Insofar as the Applicant No.2 Sandip Parkar (accused No.2) is concerned, he has only been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 504 of IPC and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for one year with fine. The learned counsel for the Applicant states that the Applicant No.1 Rahul Singh has since expired and therefore, she is not pressing the application insofar the Applicant Rahul Singh is concerned.

Considering the fact that the application is not pressed insofar as Applicant No.1 Rahul Singh is concerned, the application only survives insofar as Applicant No.2 Sandip Parkar. He has been sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for one year with fine.

Considering the over circumstances, the substantive sentence awarded to the Applicant No.2 Sandip Parkar is hereby suspended pending disposal of the Appeal subject to the Applicant No.2 furnishing a PR bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one or two solvent sureties in the like amount and on payment of fine, if not already paid.

Bail bonds to be furnished before the learned Special Judge. 6.
