We have heard Mr. Sawant, learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms. Bane, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Respondent/State. 2.

We are of the opinion that this petition can be disposed of by directing the Designated Officer of the respondent to decide the application dated 9 March 2023 filed by the petitioners for deletion of the entries in the revenue records in regard to the petitioners land. Let the decision on such application be taken within a period of 6 weeks from today, in accordance with law. All contentions of the parties are expressly kept open.
