Contempt Petition No.282 of 2018 is pending as regards the non-implementation of an award dated 31/10/2017 in Reference IT No.64 of 2006. The petitioners/applicants shall first satisfy the Court as to whether a contempt petition under the Contempt of Courts Act with reference to an award delivered by a Tribunal is maintainable.

By the interim application, the petitioners/applicants seek issuance of contempt notice against the respondents for demolishing the building.

Let the applicants, if so advised, take steps as against the subsequent events. If another Contempt Petition is filed, the applicants would satisfy this Court as to whether the contempt petiton would be maintainable.
