The petitioner preferred an application for furlough on 4th July, 2014, as the petitioner hailed from the State of Uttar Pradesh and he wanted to spend his period of furlough in the State of Uttar Pradesh. The police report was called from the State of Uttar Pradesh, however, the police report was not received within reasonable time, hence reminder was sent to send the police report. Eventually the police report was received. After perusing the police report and looking into the facts and circumstances of the case, the order dated 31st March, 2016 was passed directing that the petitioner be released on furlough. After the petitioner complied with all the terms and conditions of the order granting furlough, he was released on furlough on 16th May, 2016. The petitioner has enjoyed his furlough leave and has now reported back to the prison. In this view of the matter, 1 / 2

The fees to be paid to the appointed counsel are quantified at Rs.2,500/-.
