Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.P.P. for the respondent.
The applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code. His conviction has been confirmed by the Sessions Court. This is an application for grant of bail during the pendency of the revision application. I have gone through the judgment of the trial court particularly evidence of the victim lady. 906-appr-152.2015.sxw house. It is the case of the prosecution that the mother in law of the victim lady had also seen the accused while running away from the house. The applicant was frequent visitor to the house of the victim. The possibility of some other story than the story mentioned by the victim cannot be ruled out. It needs to be examined. Hence, I am inclined to grant bail. The applicant be released on bail in the sum of Rs.25000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount or cash deposit of Rs.25,000/- in lieu of the surety. The substantive sentence stands suspended until further orders. The application stands disposed of.
