Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent in not releasing his pension. However, during the pendency of the petition, the respondents have released the pension in favour of the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner, however, is that though the pension has been ordered to be released and being paid to the petitioner, no interest on the delayed payment of

71-wp-4795.2015.sxw pension and retiral benefits have been extended in his favour. Keeping in view the aforesaid, as prayed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate representation claiming interest on delayed release of pension and retirement benefits, before respondent no.1. On receipt of such representation, the first respondent shall examine the same and take appropriate decision on it in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible but not latter than three months from the date of receipt of such representation. Needless to say that if the petitioner is found to be entitled for the interest, the same be released in his favour within the aforesaid period.

The Petition is disposed of.
