The Petitioner makes a prayer that his representation dated 05.01.2017 may be decided by the Competent Authority of the Second Respondent expeditiously. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of Respondent No.2 submits on instructions gathered from a responsible officer that the competent authority would deal with the said representation of the petitioner and would give him an opportunity of personal hearing followed by which the representation would be decided.

spb/ 907wp5218-17.odt Considering the above, since this is the only relief sought in this petition, this writ petition is disposed of by directing Respondent No.2 to place the representation of the petitioner dated 05.01.2017 before the competent authority within a period of two weeks from today.

The competent authority shall thereafter call upon the petitioner through a written notice to appear before the authority for hearing on his representation. We expect the competent authority to conclude the hearing on the representation within a period of six weeks from the appearance of the petitioner and thereafter communicate the decision on the representation within a period of two weeks.
