Petitioner has made a grievance that, he is languishing in jail for sufficient period and despite the said fact his trial has not yet commenced and therefore he may be released on bail.

Learned A.P.P., on instructions from the Officer attached to Thane Central Prison, submitted that, the case of the Petitioner i.e. Sessions Case No. 343 of 2016 has already commenced and as of today the Prosecution has examined four witnesses. She further on instructions submitted that, the Prosecution intends to examine two more witnesses in support of its case. 4.
