Petitioner. The Petitioner is an elected councilor of the 2nd Respondent-Municipal Corporation. He is challenging the notice dated 27 March 2018 issued by the Municipal Secretary by which he was informed that the General Body Meeting of the said Corporation held on 19 March 2018 has been adjourned and the same meeting will continue today (on 2 April 2018) at 11.30 a.m.

The submission made by the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner is that the meeting held on 19 March 2018 was not adjourned and in fact, the meeting was concluded after the National Anthem. He states that the Special General Body Meeting commenced today around 3.00 p.m. 4.

The Petitioner is an elected Councilor of the Municipal Corporation. The Petitioner can always raise a point of order during the course of the meeting. Moreover, the proceedings of the meeting have already commenced. Therefore, at this stage, no interference is called for. If the 2 / 3

Petitioner is aggrieved by any particular decision taken in today's meeting, the Petitioner can always avail of the remedy to challenge the same in accordance with law, on all permissible grounds and on the grounds raised in this Petition. 5.

Subject to what is observed above, the Petition is disposed of.
