The petitioner having been removed from service, has approached the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (hereafter "the Tribunal", for short) by instituting Original Application No. 726 of 2018. By presenting this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, he seeks an order on the Tribunal to decide the said original application within such time as may be fixed by this Court. 2.

We are informed by the parties that the petitioner's service has been terminated on 18th May 2012 and that there have been previous rounds of litigation before the Tribunal and also this Court. Since the petitioner's removal from

7-aswp7097-2022 service has continued for more than a decade, we dispose of this writ petition with a request to the Tribunal to consider and dispose of the original application in accordance with law as early as possible, subject to its convenience. No costs. 3.

After the aforesaid order was dictated, the learned advocate for the petitioner seeks liberty to effect correction in the cause-title of the writ petition. According to him, although the petitioner is presently unemployed, erroneously his occupation is stated to be service.

We permit the petitioner to effect correction in the cause-title of the writ petition, without prejudice to the rights of the respondents to take appropriate objection at the time when the original application is finally heard by the Tribunal. Correction is to be carried out forthwith.
