By this petition, the petitioner is challenging the rejection of his nomination. The election programme was published on 11th March, 2016. The nominations were to be accepted from 28th March, 2016 to 2nd April, 2016. The nominations were scrutinized on 4th April, 2016. The list of validly nominated candidates is published and thereafter symbols are also distributed. The voting is scheduled to take Shubhada S Kadam 1/2

Sr.No.903 WP 4187.16 place on 17th April, 2016. Thus, we find the elections are at an advanced stage and, we therefore, are not inclined to interfere in the same, especially when the petitioner has an alternative remedy of filing an election petition.
