Two prayers are made in the instant petition. One prayer is to expedite the trial and another is to cancel the bail granted to accused persons by the learned trial court. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not pressing the prayer for cancellation of bail granted to accused persons and he is seeking orders for expeditious disposal of the trial.

13-WP-1647-2019.doc The petitioner is reported to be the First Informant in the subject crime. As such, he is certainly entitled for expeditious disposal of the criminal case instituted on his First Information Report (FIR). However, the petitioner has to first approach the learned trial court for seeking necessary directions. Hence, the petition is disposed off with liberty to the petitioner to move the learned trial court for expeditious disposal of the trial.
