This contempt petition was fled alleging contempt of the order dated 18 November 2019 passed by a co-ordinate bench of this Court whereby the petition fled by the petitioners came to be allowed directing that the petitioner No.2 be admitted to the MBBS Course for the academic year 2019-2020.

The respondent-Union Territory Administration had assailed the said order before the Apex Court and we are Prajakta Vartak 1/2

13-civil CP 183-20 in wp 10868-19.doc informed that the Apex Court has recently dismissed the Special Leave Petition. We had accordingly, adjourned the matter on the last occasion to enable Mr.Venegaonkar, learned Advocate for the respondents to take instructions in regard to the compliance of the orders as necessitated. Mr.Venegaonkar, on instructions, makes a statement that a decision is already taken by the respondents to admit the petitioners and the formalities of granting a formal admission would be completed within a day or two. We accept the statement as made by Mr.Venegaonkar.

In view of the above statement of Mr.Venegaonkar, learned Advocate for the respondents, nothing would survive in this petition. It is accordingly disposed of. 4.
