Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, states that the petitioner is ready to comply with the order to deposit 50% of the liability imposed under Section 7A of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 ("the Act" for short), i.e. Rs.2,91,73,234/- in two installments. 2.

He states that half of the amount of 50% shall be deposited with the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner within four weeks from today and the balance half of the amount shall be deposited within four weeks thereafter. Statement is accepted. 3.

It is made clear that no further extension shall be granted to

Therefore, the order under Section 7A of the Act shall remain stayed subject to deposit of the amount as stated above. In case the petitioner fails to deposit the amount as stated above, the interim relief granted shall stand vacated forthwith without further reference to the Court.

If the amount is deposited, the interim relief shall remain in force till the disposal of the appeal.

The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. (AMIT BORKAR, J.)
